Upcoming Biopics Of The Year: The purpose of biopics is to inspire the audience by depicting the struggles of well-known individuals who literally broke down barriers and accomplished greatness. Here are some of the most anticipated female-driven biopics that are certain to captivate the audience-

Taali

In 2014, when the Supreme Court issued a landmark ruling recognising the transgender community as a third gender, the narrative of transgender activist Gauri Sawant, who had been at the forefront of the fight for equality and dignity, came to light. The creative team of Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar conceived of a film adaptation of this captivating tale, with Sushmita Sen portraying the role of Gauri. Sen was so engrossed in Kshitji Patwardhan’s screenplay that she spent over six months studying it and working on her Marathi dialect and body language. Soon, ‘Taali’ by National Award-winning director Ravi Jadhav will be available on an OTT platform.

Chakda Xpress

Anushka Sharma will demonstrate her athleticism in her next home production, ‘Chakda Xpress,’ after demonstrating her action prowess in the 2015 film ‘NH-10. This is her first film since ‘Zero’ in 2018 and her second with director Prosit Roy following ‘Pari.’ Anushka has reportedly followed a punishing fitness regimen in order to fill the shoes of Jhulan Goswami, who emerged from obscurity to become one of the fastest female bowlers in history. She is currently regarded as one of the greatest bowlers in the history of the sport, and it remains to be seen how Anushka will do her brilliance justice. The biopic is scheduled for release this year with Atul Sharma, Ahmareen Anjum, and Ravi Mulani also starring.

Tarla

Before the era of the Master Chef franchise and YouTube celebrity chefs, there was Tarla Dalal, the ever-smiling Gujarati housewife who parlayed her passion for cooking into an empire that encompassed television programmes and countless books on Indian vegetarian cuisine. This year, Huma Qureshi will retell the narrative of India’s first home chef, Tarla Dalal, as the gregarious and talented Tarla Dalal. The production of the biopic has concluded, and the film’s first poster has been released. Supposedly, Huma filmed the film in Mumbai for 37 consecutive days. The film ‘Tarla,’ produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and Nitesh Tiwari, and directed by Piyush Gupta, will be released this year.
