Union Public Service Commission has announced the UPSC Civil Services Result 2019 at upsc.gov.in. This year, 829 candidates have been selected for various posts of IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS, and so on.

Bihar is home to every 12th IAS officer. The highest numbers of IAS, IPS & IFS aspirants are from Bihar. Almost 25 percent of the 700 candidates, who qualified for IAS and IPS in the last ten years, belong to Bihar.

Pradeep Singh has topped the UPSC (Mains) examination 2019. The second place is obtained by Jatin Kishore and Pratibha Verma bagged the third place.

Bhagalpur’s Shresth Anupam scores 19th rank

A chemical engineer from IIT Delhi, who hails from Bhagalpur district of Bihar has obtained the 19th rank in UPSC 2019.

As reported by Hindustan, this was Anupam’s second attempt. The 19th rank holder said that in the first attempt, he did not prepare well. This time he had full confidence.

Anupam passed his 10th board from St. Joseph’s School in the year 2012 and was the second topper of the country. His father, Vineet Kumar is a businessman who also dreamt to be a civil servant. However, he didn’t clear the examination. Anupam’s success is being celebrated in the family.

Gopalganj’s Pradeep Singh bags 26th rank

Originally from Gopalganj, Pradeep Singh lives in Indore with his family. He bagged the 26th rank in UPSC 2019. He was selected last year with 93 rank but wanted to be an IAS officer so he reappeared in the exam.

Samastipur’s Satyam obtains 169th rank

Satyam of Samastipur has been ranked 169 in the UPSC examination. He is the son of a BJP leader Vijay Chudhar who also fought the Bihar assembly elections.

Buxar’s Anshuman scores 107th rank

Anshuman Raj of Nawanagar in Buxar district secured 107th position in UPSC. This was his third attempt. He completed his 12th class from Navodaya Vidyalaya.

A total of 180 candidates inclusive of all categories have been selected for IAS posts and 24 candidates are applicable for IFS. According to the commission, the candidate’s appointment to the various Services will be according to the number of vacancies available with due consideration to the provisions contained in the examination rules. The mark sheet of the candidates will be made available on the official website after 15 days from now.
