Bypolls for Uttarakhand’s Badrinath and Manglaur assembly seats have been scheduled for July 10, the Election Commission announced on Monday. The Badrinath seat was vacated when Congress MLA Rajendra Bhandari quit in March to join the BJP.

Meanwhile, the bypoll for the Manglaur seat is due to the death of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Sarwat Karim Ansari last October.

Official notifications for the bypolls will be issued on June 14, with the last date to file nomination papers set for June 21. The scrutiny of nominations will occur on June 24, and candidates can withdraw their nominations until June 26. Votes will be counted on July 13.
