Surprise Inspection Reportedly Finds Undelivered Mail
Residents allege that for months now Aadhaar cards, various important documents and other postal letters have not been delivered, creating significant hardship for numerous households. Residents also claimed that they had made several attempts to contact the post-office workers to resolve the issue of undelivered mail. However, complaints allegedly went unheard by them.
However, postal workers denied allegations of negligence and called the matter “blown out of proportion”. According to sources, employees claimed that several addressees remained unavailable or non-responsive, despite repeated attempts at delivery. They also claim that a number of the postal articles that were being questioned did not belong to residents of the specific village, and several locals had even received their respective documents.

In the aftermath of the controversy and public outrage, post-office authorities conducted a surprise inspection of the post-office. According to media reports, inspectors reportedly found several sacks of undelivered articles during the inspection.
Videos widely circulated on the internet appeared to show authorities rummaging through the bags of mail and questioning the woman employee on pending postal deliveries, but it was reportedly clarified by the employee as “extra” parcels. The inspectors continued the inspection after repeated requests by the local people.
Has Any Official Action Been Confirmed?
So far no official announcement has been made by the postal authorities confirming disciplinary action taken against any employees of the post-office. An investigation into the alleged incident has been reportedly launched by the concerned department authorities.
