Vadodara Tea vendor who nominated PM Modi’s name seeks ticket

Tea vendor from Vadodara, Kiran Mahida had nominated Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a candidate from the Vadodara Lok Sabha in 2014. Now he has nominated himself as a probable candidate for the seat this year. Mahida has met the BJP observers on Friday to seek the ticket.

Kiran was selected as the proposer for PM Modi’s nomination as he had been selling tea for many years in Khanderao Market area and he was also a committed worker of BJP who joined the party at the time of Ram Janmabhoomi movement.

Mahida has been a general secretary and ward president of the party. He had earlier also seek a ticket for the civic election. He was later made a member of the school education committee of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation.

The tea vendor said that he told the BJP observers that sitting MP Ranjan Bhatt should be given the ticket again but of the party was looking to change the candidates then other senior leaders should be considered. If the party doesn’t even want to consider them also then he is to one who should be considered and given the ticket.
