Who is Virendra Sachdeva: Virendra Sachdeva is the new president of the Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Since former president Adesh Gupta resigned after the MCD elections, Virendra Sachdeva has been serving as functional president.

The then-state president, Adesh Gupta, resigned after the Bharatiya Janata Party was defeated by the Aam Aadmi Party in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections. The party leadership then appointed Virendra Sachdeva as the working president of the BJP in Delhi. Since assuming the role of working president, Virendra Sachdeva has been extremely active over the past three months. Continuous sit-in protests against the Kejriwal government continue under his leadership. Similarly, the Delhi BJP has begun to appear more aggressive than before. Probably because of this, he was appointed as the permanent president of the Delhi BJP.
