The Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh will take place in a single phase, which will take place in Phase I on April 11, as announced by the Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora on March 10.
The Election Commission of India announced that the general elections will began on April 11, with the last phase taking place on May 19, the results is slated to be announced on May 23.
Andhra Pradesh has a total of 25 Lok Sabha constituencies.
Elections in the Visakhapatnam constituency will take place in the first phase of the General Elections 2019 on April 11.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections Kambhampati Hari Babu of Bharatiya Janata Party registered a victory by more than 90 thousands votes. He was polled 5,66,832 votes to YSR Congress Party candidate YS Vijayamma 4,76,344

In the previous General Elections Telugu Desam Party led by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu won a total of 16 seats, YSR Congress Party candidates won in 9 constituencies, while Telangana Rashtriya Samithi registered 11 seats.
In the upcoming elections, more than 900 million people above the age of 18 are expected to cast their ballots at a million polling stations. Of the total electorate, 15 million will be in the age group of 18 to 19 years.
