In another incident which highlights the gross misuse of power by those in position, Union Minister Mahesh Sharma’s security personnel were caught on camera as they thrashed the guards of a housing society. Their crime apparently was to cause ‘a minute delay’ as they took ‘too long’ to open the gates of the society. The matter came to light after news Agency shared a video on social media. The video clearly shows guards taking to someone inside the car before they are pulled back by Sharma’s security officer.
While the entire convoy moves away the officer is seen pointing a finger and saying something as a moment later he comes and starts slapping and thrashing the guard while yelling at him. Another guard standing next to the man tried to save him from being beaten, but he too was slapped repeatedly in return. After a while, the security officer also make threatening advances towards the third man standing at the scene, before coming back and slapping the guards again. Other security officers finally stopped him.
One of the housing guards told ANI, “It took hardly two minutes for us to open the gate and yet minister ji’s security thrashed and abused us.” A housing society official said that they were not happy with the behaviour and would approach the police.
