What students should do after result?
When the seat allotment result comes out, students will have to decide their next step depending on the status of their seat.
- Upgradation: If a candidate gets upgraded to the first preference, they will not have to pay the seat acceptance fee again, but they will need to download a fresh allotment letter. After that, they must report to the newly allotted college and finish admission steps. If the seat is upgraded but not the first choice, the student will still need to join the new institute and complete the admission formalities there.
- No Upgradation: For those who do not get any upgradation, they can directly continue with the college that was allotted earlier and complete the joining process.
- Cancelled and Allotted: The board has also explained that candidates who were rejected during verification in the first round but now get a seat in round two will have to report to their new college and show all documents for verification.
What happens next?
The WBJEE counselling process is moving quickly now after the delay, and this second round is crucial for thousands of students. Those who are allotted seats in this round will need to act fast so that they do not miss the deadline for admission.
