Wedding or Propaganda? This Gujarat couple defends Rafale deal in invitation card

The popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached extremes. Recently, a phenomenon has made its way to the internet – wedding cards asking guests to votes for PM Modi in the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections as wedding gifts.

Just a few days after wedding cards from Surat, and Karnataka surfaced asking votes for PM Modi, another Gujarati couple designed a quirky wedding card seeking BJP votes and defending the Rafale deal in their wedding invitation.

Yuvraj Pokharna, an entrepreneur and his bride-to-be Sakshi Agarwal has designed their marriage wedding cards to present facts to the public concerning to the Rafale deal. Just like any government manifesto would read before the elections, the couple has laid down proper points defending why Rafale is a legitimate contract.

The wedding card was headlined, “Keep calm and trust NAMO”. The card consists of text that starts with the line “Even a fool will not compare prices of a simple flyaway aircraft with a weaponised jet.”

On the footer of the card, its written that the only gift they expect for the wedding is their guests’ vote for the BJP in the upcoming general elections and a monetary contribution for the saffron cause on the party app NAMO.
