West Bengal HS Result 2020 announced: West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has declared the class 12th or Higher Secondary examination results on Friday, July 17, 2020, on its official website at wbchse.nic.in. A total of 90.13% students who have taken the West Bengal class 12th exams qualified this year.
However, this is the highest ever pass percent. Last year, it was 86.29%. Out of the 7.61 lakh students who appeared in WB class 12th exam, 6.8 lakh students passed.
Although the WBCHSE has already decided not to release the merit or topper list this year in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, it has informed that the highest score secured by a candidates is 499 out of 500.
According to the reports, a total of 30220 candidates have got more than 90% marks in the West Bengal class 12th exam. This year also, boys performed better than girls. The pass percent of boys is 90.44% while the pass percent of girl is 90%.

Kolkata has topped among the districts of Bengal followed by East Midnapore who secured the second position while West Midnapore stood third.
West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee took to Twitter to congratulate students. She tweeted, “Uchcho Madhyamik (Higher Secondary) results are out. Students are taking another step forward in their beautiful lives. Congratulations to them all, along with their principals, teachers and parents. The future is waiting for you.”

Steps to check West Bengal 12th Result 2020:
- Go to the official site of the West Bengal HS council website
- Select the tab that reads ‘Class 12 results 2020’
- Log in by inserting your board roll number and other details
- Click on ‘Submit’
- Your WB HS / 12thResult 2020 Scorecard will be displayed on the screen
- Download the PDF version of the mark sheet for future reference.
WBCHSE 12th Result 2020: Apply for scrutiny by July 31
WBCHSE would release details for Scrutiny application by evening. The deadline to apply for scrutiny is July 31.
