WhatsApp is Working on a New User Interface

How To Send HD Video Quality On WhatsAppWhatsApp recently added the ability to send high-definition (HD) images to contacts, and the messaging app has promised to add HD video support in the near future.

Now, we can affirm that the HD video feature is available for WhatsApp users, which means that the video content you wish to share with your friends and family will not be compressed and will be transferred in HD or 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.

The feature is now available for WhatsApp users on Android, and similar to the HD photo option, users must explicitly select the video quality they wish to send. By default, WhatsApp will use the standard version, and only when the HD mode is selected will the messaging app increase the video’s quality before transmitting, which will increase the file size and take a little longer.

How To Send HD Video Quality On WhatsApp?

WhatsApp users can transmit videos in HD by following these steps:

  1. Launch WhatsApp on your device.
  2. Select a contact to whom you wish to transmit the video.
  3. Click on Gallery by clicking the paper clip icon.
  4. Select the video you wish to transmit.
  5. Select the HD icon at the top of the display.
  6. You will see options for Standard or HD quality.
  7. Select HD definition, which is crisper but has a larger file size.

WhatsApp makes it obvious that HD videos are superior for sending, but their larger file size means they take longer to transfer.

WhatsApp has been adding new features every week, and the platform owned by Meta will be adding more in the future months. This week, WhatsApp introduced the ability for users to create Groups with no name, as well as a new message interface for sending view-once photos and videos to other WhatsApp users.
