A woman along with her son killed her 70-year-old mother-in-law in Ramnagar area of Howrah, West Bengal on Thursday. Both of them have been detained. The deceased has been identified as Uma Panja.
After prolonged interrogation, the woman confessed to her crime, said police. The body was found by the neighbours at her house. Soon, they called the police to inform about the incident.
Initially, the woman said that her mother-in-law was murdered by two miscreants who forcefully entered into their house. However, she later confessed to her crime, police said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem. Probe is on, they added.
