From past two weeks, #MeToo movement has been gaining a rapid momentum across the country with more and more women stepping forward to express the sexual assault they faced. However, in a recent shocking incident, a 38-year old man in Maharashtra allegedly committed suicide because he was fed up with a woman’s persistent demand for illicit sex. The incident took place around 500 km from Mumbai.

According to the reports, deceased Sachin Mitkari was found hanging from the ceiling of his house on the Parbhani-Vasmat road on Sunday.

Mitkari was married to a woman and used to work in a hospital at Parbhani along with the accused woman. The accused woman knew that Sachin was married but still kept asking for a sexual relationship. After facing continuous harassment, Sachin committed suicide by hanging himself. He left behind a suicide note where he accused the woman of pestering him for sex.

In the suicide note left behind, the accused stated that the woman was threatening to file a defamation case against him if he denied her sexual advancements.

Reports suggest that Sachin’s death was highlighted after the neighbours didn’t notice any movement from his room. Later, when the neighbour entered his room, they found him hanging from the ceiling for his room.
