Xbox Game Pass September 2025: September 2025 is looking wild for Xbox Game Pass players. Seriously, the lineup’s all over the place in. We’re talking long-awaited sequels, some fresh horror weirdness, creative roguelites, and a couple of retro bangers thrown in for good measure. Hollow Knight: Silksong is finally making an appearance. Then you got Frostpunk 2 bringing the cold and Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor keeping the chaos alive. Game Pass is just flexing at this point, dropping day-one hits and making it extra hard to look away from your console or PC. Whether you’re into moody adventures, freaky scares, or just want to blast stuff with your buddies, September’s got you covered.

Xbox Game Pass September 2025

Hollow Knight: Silksong

Silksong is finally landing on September 4th. People have been waiting for this one like it’s the second coming. Team Cherry’s back, tossing you into the creepy-cool world of Pharloom. You play as Hornet (she’s basically a ninja bug princess), dodging and slicing through a ridiculous number of weird enemies. The original was all atmosphere and slick design, so there’s no way this sequel won’t be the talk of the town. Plus, it’s on Game Pass day one. No extra cash, just straight into the action.

Cronos: The New Dawn

The very next day, September 5th, horror heads get Cronos: The New Dawn. Made by Bloober Team, y’know, the folks who basically live in the horror genre. Third-person survival, lots of body horror, and if you don’t deal with the monsters the right way? They mutate. And, you can play it on Game Pass day one, so why not give yourself nightmares for free.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor & Frostpunk 2

Mid-September’s a one-two punch. Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor hits on September 17th, flipping the co-op mining shenanigans into a solo, Vampire Survivors-inspired shooter. Aliens, explosions, upgrade paths you’ll lose a weekend or two, easy. Then on the 18th, Frostpunk 2 is back to freeze your hopes and dreams. More brutal city-building, more impossible choices. Both are day-one on Game Pass. Honestly, your backlog’s doomed.

Xbox Game Pass September 2025: Hotel Barcelona: Suda51

Hotel Barcelona drops on September 26 and if you know Suda51 or Swery65, you already know it’s gonna be a trip. It’s a roguelite with 2.5D action, but it’s also horror comedy and just bizarre. The hotel levels get wild, there’s co-op, PvP invasions honestly, it’s not afraid to get a little nuts. Definitely one for anyone who likes their games with a side of panic.

Borderlands 4

Borderlands 4, supposedly dropping September 12th. Game Pass hasn’t confirmed it yet, but fingers crossed Microsoft’s been on a roll grabbing big launches. Gearbox is promising even bigger worlds, fresh alien planets, new movement tricks, and all the usual looty-shooty chaos. Even if it skips Game Pass, it’s gonna be the game everyone’s talking about in September.

Xbox Game Pass September 2025: Bubsy in

Look, not everything has to be a blockbuster. Bubsy’s back on September 9th with The Purrfect Collection, bundling all the classic platformers with some modern tweaks rewind, save states, cheats, you name it. No word yet if it’s dropping on Game Pass, but if you ever had a thing for 90s mascot games, this is your nostalgia shot for the month.

Honestly, September 2025 is stacked. You’ve got the heavy hitters Silksong, Frostpunk 2, maybe Borderlands 4 plus the weird and wild stuff like Hotel Barcelona, and even some retro love. Horror, strategy, platformers, action, total mayhem. All on Game Pass, so you don’t have to shell out for each one. Kinda feels like cheating, honestly. If you’ve ever wondered if Game Pass is worth it, this is the month it proves itself. Xbox fans, cancel your plans you’re not going anywhere.
