BJP president Amit Shah, while speaking India Today conclave said that Yeddyurappa should not have politicised Pulwama attack.

The statement on the issue comes by the party president a day after Amid rising Indo-Pak tension, Karnataka’s Bharatiya Janata Party Chief BS Yeddyurappa said that India’s pre-emptive strikes on terror camps in Pakistan has created a wave in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will help the party win over 22 of 28 seats in the state in the coming Lok Sabha polls.

Soon after drawing flak, Yeddurappa in a 2 part tweet on Thursday afternoon wrote, “I would like to clarify that my yesterday’s statement has been completely misinterpreted. I have highest regard for our armed forces. I salute the bravery of our men in fighting for the country’s safety.” He added, “I stand along with my fellow countrymen and pray for the safe return of Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. To me, The Nation comes first and then the party. ”
