“A man named Vinay Shrivastave was fatally wounded. A handgun belonging to Vikas Kishore has been recovered. The investigation is being expanded. Additionally, a forensics team has arrived, and we are also searching CCTV images. In addition, a FIR has been filed,” Rahul Raj told reporters.

Kaushal Kishore, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, assured the victim’s family that the perpetrator will not be spared.

This is an investigational matter. Police and forensic teams have initiated the investigation. The responsible party will not be spared. We are standing in solidarity with the deceased’s family members. I am unaware of who was present at the residence when the incident occurred.

According to News18, three suspects have been brought into custody after the victim’s family filed a complaint.

Kishore’s son was lost to alcoholism.

In October 2020, the minister of state for housing and urban affairs lost one of his sons, Akash Kishore, to alcoholism, prompting a BJP lawmaker to launch a campaign to prevent young people from “getting consumed by the brew.” Last year, while addressing a programme on de-addiction in the Lambhua assembly district, he referred to the calamity and urged people not to marry their daughters and sisters to alcoholics.

My son (Akash Kishore) was accustomed to drinking alcohol with his companions. He was committed to a centre for de-addiction. Six months later, he got married, assuming he would kick his harmful habit. However, he resumed drinking after his marriage, which ultimately contributed to his demise. When Akash passed away two years ago on October 19, his son was only two years old,” the Union minister said.
