12-year-old minor gang-raped, murdered in Bihar’s East Champaran; police asks accused to cremate body

In a gruesome act of violence has been reported from Bihar’s Champaran where a 12-year-old girl was gang-raped and murdered in East Champaran district of Bihar.

The minor girl was a native of Barbardiya in Nepal and stayed with her father who works as a night watchman at the local market.

Now, an audio-video clip of the police personnel has gone viral, where the accused (Rapists) can be seen burning the victim’s body and the mother of the small girl who has till date not received justice can be heard weeping for her deceased daughter.

As per reports, the 12-year-old minor was gang-raped by four people on January 21 when she was alone at her house.

Apart from the video clip, an audio clip has also gone viral where Kundwa Chainpur police station SHO Sanjiv Ranjan can be allegedly heard directing and suggesting the rapists cremate the victim’s body to destroy evidence, imagine police personnel taking this decision of removing evidence.

The Police SHO asked a local leader Ramesh Sah to dispose of the girl’s body before the victim’s family approach the police.

On February 3, after the events took a turn and the whole issue went public, the deceased girl’s father- night watchman approached the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) in Motihari to file an FIR.

The victim’s father was allegedly threatened by the accused if he approached local police with a complaint.

Furthermore, the SP of East Champaran Navin Chandra Jha said- that four persons have been booked for rape and murder. While seven others have been booked for the destruction of evidence.

Two of seven have been arrested. The Police have also suspended the SHO for the delay in lodging an FIR and not sending the body for post-mortem despite having knowledge of the crime and also allegedly being a part of destroying the evidence.
