18 people died, while 20 others sustained injuries, after the roof of a crematorium collapsed in the Muradnagar town of Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district on Sunday afternoon.
A team of police and NDRF reached the spot soon after the incident. Delhi NCR witnessed rainfall on the second consecutive day on Sunday, leading to water-logging in many areas.
Some people, who had reached crematorium to attend a funeral, took shelter under the roof when it collapsed.
