A two-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her uncle in a village here, police said on Tuesday.
The incident happened in Payagpur police station area on Monday evening, they said.
The accused uncle was arrested on Tuesday for raping and injuring the minor girl, Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Kunwar Gyananjay Singh said.
A case has been registered under sections of rape and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act on the complaint of the minor’s mother, he said.
The medical examination of the girl has been conducted and further probe is underway, Singh said.
