2027 Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift: Toyota has been spotted testing the facelifted Innova Hycross on Indian roads for the first time, marking the MPV’s first major mid-cycle update since its launch in late 2022. The heavily camouflaged prototype was photographed during road testing in Kerala, suggesting Toyota has begun development of the refreshed model, which is expected to arrive in India sometime in 2027.

Although the test vehicle was wrapped in camouflage, several styling revisions appear to be in the works. Spy images indicate a redesigned front fascia featuring slimmer headlamps, a squarer grille and updated front bumper.
Minor tweaks to the rear bumper and lighting elements are also on the cards while the side profile and alloy wheel design look pretty much the same. That heavy camouflage implies Toyota is getting ready for more than just cosmetic changes, so there could be edits to both the exterior and the cabin.

Interior
Toyota hasn’t shared official information, but industry reports point toward the facelifted Hycross possibly getting an upgraded infotainment system, fresh interior trim, new upholstery choices, and extra comfort convenience features. The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) package could also be enhanced as part of the update.
Powertrain
No mechanical changes are expected at this stage. The facelift is likely to continue with the existing powertrain lineup, including the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and the 2.0-litre strong-hybrid petrol powertrain that have helped make the Innova Hycross one of India’s best-selling premium MPVs.
These include the 173 hp, 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with a CVT automatic, and the 184 hp, 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid setup mated to an e-CVT. Some reports also speculate Toyota could be evaluating a flex-fuel variant, although the company has not confirmed such plans.
Launch Timeline
The Innova Hycross made its global debut in November 2022 before arriving in India the following month. With the model now entering its fourth year on the market, a bit of rework in 2027 would sort of fit Toyota’s usual product lifecycle approach. Toyota hasn’t officially revealed yet about the launch timing or the exact specifications for the refreshed MPV.
