The doctors at the hospital examined the man and declared the man dead. Meanwhile, a team of Thirumanglam police learned about the case and launched an investigation.

The police grew suspicious of foul play when the cops noticed that the deceased had injuries on his private parts.

The police called Arivuselvam for interrogation on Friday and during the process, she confessed to killing her husband. The school teacher told the police that she had killed her husband with help from relatives B Balamani and B Sumaiyar, TOI reported.

The woman added while talking to police that her husband was a heavy drinker and he forced her to have unnatural sex. The woman said that Sudeer physically assaulted her when she refused to have unnatural sex. On Thursday, the woman allegedly mixed sleeping pills in a glass of milk and gave it to her husband.
