66-Year-Old Collapses and Dies in LPG Queue:The 66-year-old man died while waiting for a domestic LPG cylinder at a distribution center which created nationwide alarm after a fatal incident occurred in Barnala district of Punjab. The incident occurred in Sehna village on Friday.
The elderly man had been standing in the queue for nearly two hours when he suddenly collapsed after suffering a heart attack according to reports. The people present at the scene attempted to help him but he could not be brought back to life.

The man arrived at the LPG agency between 6 AM and 7 AM to obtain a cylinder which he needed for his home. The agency attracted many customers beyond its operational capacity because of increased customer demand and existing supply shortages. Witnesses reported that the elderly man became unwell and collapsed after he had waited in line for an extended duration.
Local residents and agency staff rushed to help him and tried to arrange medical assistance. The medical team arrived too late because he had died before they reached him. The first reports indicate that the man died from cardiac arrest although authorities need to conduct a medical examination before they confirm official details.

“Instructions have been issued to all deputy commissioners in Punjab to ensure that no shortage of LPG gas occurs anywhere in the state. Strict action will be taken against anyone found hoarding cylinders or selling them in the black market,” Indian Express quoted Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann as saying.
Experts say that disruptions in fuel supply chains or sudden spikes in demand can quickly lead to panic among consumers, especially when LPG remains the primary cooking fuel for millions of households.
