The man who killed a 17-year-old girl inside a Mercedes car near her house in south-west Delhi’s Najafgarh last Tuesday has been detained, said police on Friday. The cops have also found some videos from the accused’s phone, wherein he can be seen showing the gun off.
While confirming the arrest, DCP Surender Kumar said that the accused named Shubham, will be questioned to discover the exact sequence of events. The murder weapon pistol and the car have been seized already.
According to the Police, the murder was a result of a love triangle. The accused even had a fight with the girl before she was killed as her friend, Nitin, was calling her again and again.
“Matters got worse when Nitin entered into an argument with him right before he shot the girl,” an officer said.
The licensed pistol was of the other friend Yogesh who was with them. Yogesh got the gun after he was attacked 6 years ago.
According to the reports, the girl had lied to her mother saying she had gone out with Nitin. The girl also made Shubham pretend to be Nitin and talk to her mother, added police.
