Sonipat: In Rai Industrial Area, a case of fraud has emerged with respect to a company who were supplying transformers to Uttar Pradesh.

It is alleged that oil from 150 transformers was removed and instead water was added into it, slapping a loss of as much as Rs 40 lakh to the stakeholders involved, according to a News 18 report.

Nitin Narwal, director of Vidhata Transformer Pvt. Ltd. told at the area police station that his company is into the business of making transformers and it has been supplying transformers in UP under the government’s Saubhagya scheme.

Bajaj electronics and Ashoka Buiildcon had complained regarding the receiving of water instead of oil in the transformers. Police has filled case against people involved in supplying the transformers including drivers of four trucks.
