In an appalling case reported from Bengaluru, a woman took her husband to court alleging that she was made to undergo virginity and pregnancy tests by her spouse after she vomited minutes after tying the knot. She has accused him of suspecting her of infidelity and harassing her. The husband, however, has denied the allegations and has filed for divorce.
As per the reports in the Times of India, couple Sharath and Raksha (names changed) are MBA graduates and employed with reputed firms. They both belong to North Karnataka and met on a matrimonial site. After a few days of initial interaction, they both decided to marry in November 2018.
Meanwhile, fifteen days before marriage, the victim lost her mother and went into depression, but the man misunderstood her and thought she wasn’t happy with the marriage.
The incident being reported came to light when the next day after marriage the victim due to gastritis started throwing up. Sharath then immediately took her to a hospital. However, the victim was shocked when she realised that in the hospital doctors were testing her for pregnancy and virginity after she signed the consent forms without looking into the details.

Soon after the tests, wife lashed out at her husband and started staying with her sister. Three months later, the Parihar family counselling centre summoned Raksha after her husband had filled a case against her. However, the counsellors were shocked to learn of ordeals Raksha went through.
The victim has now filed complaints against her husband with police and court for harassment and suspecting her fidelity.
