Caribbean Premier League 2023: All You Need To Know

Caribbean Premier League 2023: At the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, a match between the Jamaica Tallawahs and the St. Lucia Kings will mark the start of the 11th season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023 on Thursday (India time). If the Tallawahs defeat the Barbados Royals in the championship game, they will attempt to defend the title they won in 2022.

Five nations—St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana—will host the CPL 2023 season. Six league games will be played in each nation over the course of four match days. The Playoff leg will also take place in Guyana.

The winners field a potent lineup that includes players like Brandon King, who last week scored the game-winning fifty against India in the fifth Twenty20 International, recently retired Alex Hales, Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim, and Fabian Allen.

Ambati Rayudu, a former player for India and Chennai Super Kings, will make his CPL 2023 debut with the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots, making him just the second Indian to participate in this league after Pravin Tambe. Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard, former West Indies colleagues, will unite for Shah Rukh Khan’s Trinibago Knight Riders.

Here is everything you need to know about the 2023 season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
