IRS Urges Americans to Claim Stimulus Check Before Deadline: The Internal Revenue Service has warned tax registrants who have not yet claimed their stimulus payments from the COVID-19 era that time is running out.
This week, the IRS stated that the 2020 tax return deadline is May 17. This is required for stimulus payment eligibility. Most stimulus fund beneficiaries, known as Economic Impact Payments, received their prizes in 2020 and 2021. Despite their low income, those who did not qualify or received the full amount may be eligible for the recovery rebate credit if they file a tax return.
