Every second, third, and fourth Wednesday, the Social Security Administration sends out payments:

Second Wednesday: Birthdays between the 1st and 10th.

Payments for SSI recipients are usually made on the first of every month, with a few exceptions.
Will I get money from both Social Security and SSI at the same time?
The schedule is different if you started getting Social Security payments before May 1997 or if you get both Social Security and SSI. This means that your SSI payment will come on the first of each month and your Social Security payment will come on the third.

The due dates are changed if the first or third day of the month is a holiday or weekend. For instance, if the third comes on a weekend, the bill is paid on the next business day. In March, funds were sent out on March 1 instead of March 3 because March 3 was a holiday.
What if my check doesn’t arrive?
The Social Security Administration says you should wait three more mailing days before calling them if your check doesn’t come on the date they said it would. After that, you can call 800-772-1213 to talk to someone. Wednesday through Friday and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. during the week, wait times are lower.
