Call of Duty Black Ops 7: The next big game in the Call of Duty series is Black Ops 7. There is no official release date but by looking at past games, it is very likely the game will come out in late 2025.
Call of Duty games usually launch in October or November, and this has been true for almost 20 years. So it is likely that it will follow the same schedule.
The story of Black Ops 7 takes place in the year 2035, more than 40 years after the events of “Black Ops 6.” The game will feature a cast of well-known actors lending their voices and motion capture performances.

Milo Ventimiglia will play David Mason, a character fans may remember from “Black Ops 2.” Kiernan Shipka joins the cast as a new character named Emma Kagan. And Michael Rooker returns to reprise his role as Mike Harper, also from “Black Ops 2” variety reported.
Treyarch Leads the Development
At the end of the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 “Call of Duty: Black Ops 7” was officially revealed. he game is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software. This is a first for the franchise, as “Black Ops 7” follows directly after “Black Ops 6,” which just came out last fall. It’s the first time two “Black Ops” games have launched back-to-back. Other studios like Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games are working on different Call of Duty projects.
Infinity Ward is busy with the next Modern Warfare game, while Sledgehammer is focused on a game planned for 2027, reported ET. Smaller studios under Activision, such as Beenox and High Moon Studios, are also helping Treyarch with Black Ops 7.
Which Devices is it Available on?
Even though Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard, the company says the Call of Duty games will still be available on many different devices. Players can expect Black Ops 7 to be on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.

There is also a new deal with Nintendo, which means Call of Duty games will come to future Nintendo consoles too. The next Nintendo console, possibly called Switch 2, isn’t out yet, but when it is, Black Ops 7 should be there as well. This shows that the game will support both old and new gaming systems so more players can enjoy it.
