World of Warcraft Patch 11.1.7: World of Warcraft has officially revealed the full patch notes for the 11.1.7 content update, including the Rise of the Red Dawn campaign chapter, Lorewalking, and Overcharged Delves, among many other things. The lion’s share of these World of Warcraft features go live with the update on June 17, with the Greedy Emissary Diablo event returning on July 1.

The headline campaign of Patch 11.1.7 will take World of Warcraft players back to the Arathi Highlands as characters like Danath Trollbane, Geta’rah, and Faerin work together to calm lingering tensions between the Alliance and the Horde and deal with a threat to both factions.

World of Warcraft’s next update will also include the Lorewalking feature, which will give players a chance to experience the backstories of The War Within’s main villain, Xal’atath, and the mysterious Ethereal race for the first time. Lorewalking provides players with an opportunity to experience the harrowing, tragic story of Arthas, the Lich King in-game, once the update is available to download.

With the release day right around the corner, World of Warcraft has finally shared the patch notes for Legacy of Arathor. Some of its most important content arrives in a new story chapter called Rise of the Red Dawn, which sends World of Warcraft players to the Arathi Highlands with Faerin Lothar, Danath Trollbane, and Geya’rah as they uncover a conspiracy seeking to restart the conflict between the Alliance and Horde. Read more tales Lorewalking, a close to-focused questing experience, which can take you through old and new lore about everything from Xal’atath, the Ethereals, the Lich King and others.

The faction you control the world map with, are receiving a nice feature in Overcharged Delves. Players will be able to use exclusive buffs to tackle these instance-specific affixes and receive more powerful rewards as a result. Earning two new World of Warcraft achievements from Overcharged Delves also scores them the Redeployment Module Hearthstone toy and the OC91 Chariot mount.

Overcharged Delve in WoW Patch 11.1.7

1. Specialized high-difficulty affixes for two of the following Bountiful Delves daily:

  • Fungal Folly (Image of Isle of Dorn)
  • Kriegval’s Rest (Isle of Dorn)
  • Nightfall Sanctum (Hallowfall)
  • Skittering Breach (Hallowfall).
  • The Spiral Weave (Azj’Kahet)
  • Sidestreet Sluice (Undermine)

2. Added more Delve rewards at the end of the Delve completion

3. Protecting Container belt with unique properties that function both within and outside of Delves

4. Overcharged Titan Consoles which unlock buffs in Overcharged Delves through Titan Disc Shards

5. Novel accomplishments and prizes

  • Overcharged Delver: Finish four out of six Overcharged Delves to unlock the Redeployment Module toy
  • Unlock every skill in the Overcharged Titan Console to unlock the OC91 Chariot mount.

Finishing a minimum of four of these Delves grants the Overcharged Delver achievement and the Redeployment Module, a Titan-themed Hearthstone toy. To help make this happen in style, fans will be able to gather Titan Disc Shards from Overcharged Delves, then use them to temporarily unlock unique upgrades from Overcharged Titan Consoles that only power up in these new, distinct instances. Unlocking all the skill at this console rewards the Titan Console Overcharged achievement, and the OC91 Chariot, a Titan mech suit mount.

Outside of that, players can acquire the Durable Information Securing Container – an ultra-legendary belt that functions both in and out of Overcharged Delves – through an introductory quest from Dagran back at the Delver’s Headquarters. Similar to Cyrce’s Circlet from WoW Patch 11.0.7, the D.I.S.C. can be upgraded and equipped with special powers by completing weekly quests.

Delves have been a big hit since they were added in The War Within, and Overcharged Delves promise some exciting twists on the formula. If the new system is popular with fans, it is possible Blizzard could iterate on the affixes and bring them back in some form in future World of Warcraft updates and expansions.

The War Within Patch Content 11.1.7

WoW’s Legacy of Arathor update adds a new Arathi Highlands campaign, called Rise of the Red Dawn, that sees us joining Faerin, Danath, and Geya’rah as they “attempt to expose a conspiracy, defuse tensions, and grapple with the legacy of Arathor.” Completing it unlocks the Lamplighter’s Pauldrons transmog as well as a Stormgarde (Alliance) and Hammerfal (Horde) tabard and title.

WoW’s patch 11.1.7 also sees Lorewalker Cho offering three new lorewalking storylines exploring the past of Xal’atath, the Ethereals, and the Lich King through previously existing quests and “a few new ones.” Cho sitting in front of characters who’ve hit level 10 in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, or Dornogal.

These enemies are tougher than ever. Overcharged Delves introduce a tougher, more punishing adversary to The War Within’s new adventure zone. Every day, two plentiful bountiful delves will have the Overcharged affix, indicated on the map with an additional spark symbol next to their icon.

These features are part of a new UI experiences, including assisted highlight and single-button assistant.

Assisted Highlight

It is a new feature coming to the game that highlights the recommended next ability based on resources and the situation your character is in. This new feature, aimed at new players, players rolling a new specialization, or players that just want a little more hand-holding on what abilities to use, reduces the reliance on third party apps and external guides. Configured as an extra option, contained within the base UI as default, this damage rotation tool can help you with a damage rotation regardless of what specialization you’re using.

The Greedy Emissary Comes Back to Roost

The Greedy Emissary event is now available for testing. Throughout this special event you’ll be able to meet deviously greedy emissaries in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, Dornogal and Undermine for new diabolical rewards—including a mount. You won’t want to miss some truly iconic rewards including recolors of classic Tier 2 armor sets for your characters.

Treasure Goblins spawn every hour on the hour in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, and Dornogal. Additionally, in Undermine, when you defeat each of the game’s spectacularly unique rarer enemies, they can drop a portal (one portal dropped per rare, per hour). If you’re fortunate enough to discover an elixir on a Treasure Goblin, save it for that next portal!

Equip yourself with Titan technology to delve deeper and combat greater dangers in six Delves across Khaz Algar in the Legacy of Arathor content update. You’ll be able to make things even tougher with a new Delve-specific affix, and reap the rewards with some shiny new Delve-specific loot.

  • Fungal Folly: Isle of Dorn
  • Kriegval’s Rest: Isle of Dorn
  • Nightfall Sanctum: Hallowfall
  • Skittering Breach: Hallowfall
  • The Spiral Weave: Azj’Kahet
  • Sidestreet Sluice: Undermine

You’ll engage with Titan enemies, more traps, unlock traits in a new trait tree specific to Overcharged Delves, and earn the upgradeable Durable Information Securing Container belt that provides some additional benefits to the wearer.
