Bihar Teacher Vacancies: The Bihar government is all set to start the fourth phase of the Teachers’ Recruitment Examination, also called TRE-4. This new recruitment drive will help fill more than 1.2 lakh teacher vacancies in schools across the state. The posts include Primary, Middle, Secondary, and Senior Secondary levels. The recruitment will take place under the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), just like the earlier phases.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has asked the Education Department to get moving quickly and make all the needed arrangements. He wants the process to move fast so that the examination can happen before the Model Code of Conduct starts for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. On his X account, which was earlier called Twitter, Nitish Kumar said that the department has been told to find all the teacher vacancies in government schools and begin the TRE-4 process soon.

The full notification for the TRE-4 exam will be posted on the official BPSC website shortly. It will have everything like the dates for applying, the exam pattern, the syllabus, and who can apply. Just like in earlier recruitment drives, 35% of all seats will be kept for women from Bihar.
Phases of recruitment:
TRE-1: 1.70 lakh teachers appointed
TRE-2: 70,000 teachers appointed
TRE-3: 66,603 out of 87,774 posts filled
Teaching positions at multiple levels:
Primary Teacher – Classes I to V
Middle School Teacher – Classes VI to VIII
Secondary Teacher – Classes IX to X
Higher Secondary Teacher – Classes XI to XII

The government wants to make sure students in government schools get quality education by hiring more teachers in time. The CM has clearly shown interest in getting this done fast, and the Education Department has started working to meet that goal. The entire recruitment will be closely handled by BPSC to keep the process fair and smooth.
