Delta Electronics India Secures Naming Rights for Bommasandra Metro Station on Bengaluru’s Yellow Line

Delta Electronics India, a leading provider of smart green solutions, has partnered with the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to secure naming rights for the Bommasandra Metro Station — a key terminal on the newly launched Yellow Line. The station, located close to Delta’s India headquarters and Global R&D Centre, will now officially be called “Delta Electronics, Bommasandra Metro Station.”

The Yellow Line, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is expected to boost connectivity across Bengaluru, easing travel for thousands of commuters daily. The move aligns with Delta’s long-term vision to support sustainable urban infrastructure and cement Bengaluru’s position as a leading smart city.

Commitment to Sustainable Growth

Benjamin Lin, President of Delta Electronics India, congratulated the Central and State governments, BMRCL, and citizens on the metro expansion, calling the partnership a reflection of Delta’s commitment to making Bengaluru a “smart and sustainable city” and India a “world-class technology hub.” He emphasised the company’s focus on deploying energy-saving, smart solutions to enrich urban living and accelerate India’s sustainable future.

Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director of Delta Electronics India, described the partnership as a demonstration of Delta’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values, reinforcing its longstanding connection with Bengaluru. “We are honored to contribute to an infrastructure project that will positively impact thousands of lives every day,” he said.

Strategic Location and Brand Presence

The Bommasandra Metro Station is strategically located near Delta’s LEED Gold-certified India Headquarters and R&D Centre, inaugurated in September 2024. This proximity, combined with the station’s high commuter traffic, is expected to strengthen Delta’s brand presence as a key enabler of sustainable infrastructure in India.

Part of a Larger Vision

BMRCL and Delta’s collaboration is aimed at enhancing urban mobility while promoting green energy and advanced mobility solutions. The project fits into Delta’s larger mission of contributing to nation-building through clean energy technology, rail transportation solutions, and other sustainable infrastructure initiatives.

With fourteen regional offices, four manufacturing facilities, and two R&D centres in India, Delta Electronics already has a deep footprint in the country’s industrial and infrastructure ecosystem. The company holds leadership positions in telecom power, renewable energy, display solutions, and EV charging, among others.
