Grey Market Premium (GMP)

The IPO was actively traded in the grey market even before the listing. The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ grey market premium for the Aequs IPO was estimated to be around ₹43 per share on December 6, 2025, which would imply that the listing price would be ~₹167 i.e., roughly 35% higher than the upper price band of ₹124.

An extremely high GMP like this suggests that investor sentiment is very positive and the expectation of a listing-day pop is quite high, however, it should be kept in mind that GMP is an unofficial indicator and there is no certainty that the market price will be the same.

On the day of the bid, the GMP was already seen at around ₹41 thus, it was a clear indication of strong post-IPO ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌demand.

Subscription and Oversubscription Details

The Aequs IPO was greeted with a rapturous response. The IPO recorded a total subscription of 104.30× across all investor categories by the end of the subscription period.

The numbers tell the story:

  • The retail portion was subscribed ~81×.
  • Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) ~83.6×.
  • Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) ~123×.

The extremely high demand is a clear testament to the investor’s confidence in Aequs business given that the company is positioned in the aerospace components manufacturing sector which is a high entry barrier industry with long-term growth ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌potential.
