Skoda Slavia Facelift India Launch: Skoda Auto India is expected to launch the facelifted Skoda Slavia in India on August 18, giving its midsize sedan its first major update since its debut. The refreshed model is probably going to get updated styling, more technology, and those little comfort touches, plus a new automatic transmission for the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine.
The change arrives as competition keeps getting tougher in India’s midsize sedan segment where the Slavia is up against the Hyundai Verna Volkswagen Virtus and Honda City. While several upgrades are anticipated, reports indicate that the much-discussed Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) package may still not make it to the Indian-spec model.

The facelift is expected to borrow a few design cues from the recently updated Skoda Kushaq, not that it will copy it exactly or anything. For the outside, expect things like a reworked front grille, refreshed LED headlamps, tweaked front and rear bumpers, nicer tail-lamp detailing and brand new alloy wheel designs too.
Even if the main silhouette stays basically the same, the little cosmetic tweaks are meant to make the sedan look a bit more contemporary, while still not messing with its core DNA.

Will The Slavia Finally Get Level 2 ADAS?
Level 2 ADAS has been widely talked about for the Slavia facelift, and especially since rivals like the Hyundai Verna already bring, advanced driver assistance.
But according to newer reports Skoda may not actually put Level 2 ADAS on the facelifted Slavia. The firm also did not include ADAS in the latest updated Kushaq, so for the sedan it seems a bit more unlikely even with the usual ongoing speculation. Skoda hasn’t officially confirmed the final equipment lineup before the launch.
Expected Price And Rivals
With the facelift, prices of the Slavia are expected to increase slightly over the current Rs 10 lakh-18.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The sedan is expected to compete in the midsize sedan segment against the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
