UFO Files 2026: The Department of War has put out a fresh batch of UFO, or UAP, records on its PURSUE website. This is the fifth release so far. It adds 41 new files and mixes together documents, images, and videos. The records come from the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, the State Department, and the Executive Office of the President. The oldest file in the set is from 1950. The newest one was created this year. The release page says these are unresolved cases, which means the government still does not have a final answer for them.
The new batch is part of a rolling disclosure process that began after President Donald Trump ordered federal agencies in February to find and release records tied to unidentified aerial phenomena. The first batch went live on May 8, 2026. More followed on May 22, June 12, July 10, and now August 7, 2026.
The official site says more material will keep coming as files are found and cleared. On the PURSUE page, Trump’s statement is also posted, ending with the line, “GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
What the New Files Show?

The biggest chunk of the release is made up of blurry sensor videos and witness reports. One set of six clips shows the same encounter over the Gulf of Oman in September 2021. The footage came from an AC-130J gunship during a live fire exercise. The report says forces on board saw about 25 UAP sightings. It describes them as cold orbs that moved between 250 and 1300 MPH in different formations. It also says they seemed to react when the aircraft fired its main cannon. The Pentagon’s UAP office could not fully explain that incident.
Another new video came from a military aircraft over a populated area in the Middle East in 2025. It shows a fast moving object that still remains unresolved. A separate FBI video from the western U.S. this year shows two slow moving black-hot shapes seen in infrared.
In the report the agent said he first noticed a radio frequency signal, then saw a black object in the sky. He later spotted a second object beside it. The FBI said, “He lost view of the objects when they traveled a distance out of view. Total observation time was approximately 5 – 10 minutes.”
Strange Lights, Triangles, and More

Several FBI interview forms are also in the release, many with redactions and hand-drawn pictures of what witnesses said they saw. One report records a former military pilot talking about lights he saw while flying from Massachusetts to Ireland in October 2023. He said the lights were white, started dim, got brighter, and then faded out. He said the full cycle lasted from 10 seconds to one minute, and that he saw them about 10 times after the first sighting.
The same pilot also described something far stranger from Afghanistan in 2002. He said that at about 4:30 AM, the stars seemed to go dark over Bagram. He believed a huge equilateral triangle shape moved overhead without making a sound. He also said the other pilot with him reacted right away and asked, “did you see that?” The FBI included a digital rendering of that triangle in the release.
