Emraan Hashmi’s Gunmaaster G9 Release: Emraan Hashmi is getting ready for his next big screen outing, Gunmaaster G9 and the makers have now locked its theatrical release date. The action romance film is set to hit worldwide cinemas on November 27, 2026, after the strong start of Hashmi’s recently released Awarapan 2 which is doing really well at the box office.
The release date update went out on August 17, and Emraan Hashmi himself posted the news on social media. The team also called the project a blend of action, romance and music, saying it will bring a different theatrical experience for audiences.
Emraan Hashmi’s Gunmaaster G9 Release Date Confirmed
After earlier uncertainty over its release schedule, Gunmaaster G9 now has an official date. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on November 27, 2026.
The production team confirmed the date through an announcement clip shared on social media. Emraan Hashmi also posted the announcement, describing the film as being “locked, loaded and ready to fire up the big screen.”
This is an important update because director Aditya Datt had previously indicated that the release date was still being worked out. In an earlier interview with Bollywood Hungama, Datt had said the team was considering a late-2026 release but would move to early 2027 if the packed release calendar made that necessary.
Emraan Hashmi’s Next Film After Awarapan 2
The timing of the announcement is significant for Emraan Hashmi. Awarapan 2, which arrived in theatres on August 14, 2026, has enjoyed a strong opening weekend.
According to trade estimates reported by multiple outlets, the film collected approximately ₹81.75 crore net in India during its first three days, while its worldwide gross was reported at around ₹110.10 crore.

In the teaser, a mysterious hand was shown pulling a gun from a bucket of milk, while Hashmi’s voice said, “Mujhe mach mach kiya, chalega. Galti se family ko touch kiya toh yaad rakhna, dhandhe se doodh waala hun, banda baroodwala hun.”

A second segment featured a woman’s hand pulling out a knife, accompanied by Genelia’s voice, “I’m the daughter-in-law of the house. But it doesn’t mean I’m only gentle and soft. If there are vegetables at home, I’ll chop them. However, if goons and thugs show up, I won’t just be chopping vegetables.”
Aparshakti’s character was introduced in the third segment with the line, “Lohe Ki Kathi, Desu Rathi. Haath mein hain bomb. Gurgaon main log humse 70 kilometre door rehte hain kyunki bomb aur hum kabhi bhi fatt sakte hain.”
What Is Gunmaaster G9 About?
The makers are positioning Gunmaaster G9 like a action filled entertainer, it blends action, romance and music without much brakes. The film has Emraan Hashmi with Genelia Deshmukh and Aparshakti Khurana in the cast. Hashmi turns up as Eshwar, Genelia is Aarti and Aparshakti Khurana plays Desu as per the films official title announcement that dropped.
This project is being presented by Soham Rockstar Entertainment and it’s being produced under the SRE Studio LLP banner.
Talking as producer, Deepak Mukut said the team very specifically wanted to bring Hashmi, Datt and Reshammiya back together, so the idea was basically reunion energy with focus on romance action and music all at once.
