Bengaluru: A 6-month-old girl died right after she accidentally slipped from her grandfather’s arms while he was climbing to the stairs and was leading to the second-floor terrace of their house at the Maruthi layout near Rajajinagar.

The mother and father of a 6-month-old year are software engineers. Priyanka and Vinay were cleaning their house on the first floor on the morning of Friday at 9 AM. The couple asked Vinay’s father to take their infant, Anvi, to the terrace as they did not want to cause their child trouble with the dust.

Anvi’s 66-year-old grandfather picked up the child and began walking upstairs to go to the terrace.

The child, however, stretched and fell off his arms and hit the ground and thus it leads to her death.

The parents were panicked and rushed to the nearby private hospital, which referred her to another hospital due to the non-availability of an ICU bed. The child was declared dead on the way to the second hospital.
