Abhijit Mukherjee extends thanks to Youth Congress for extending help to stranded migrant workers

Abhijit Mukherjee extends thanks to Youth Congress for extending help to stranded migrant workers

The country is currently witnessing nationwide lockdown due to rising cases of the novel coronavirus. Although the government is trying to extend maximum help, there are some parts which are still facing issues due to the lockdown.

Amid this, Abhijit Mukherjee reached out to Youth Congress President seeking help for migrant workers of Murshidabad, West Bengal presently stranded in Delhi due to lockdown.

The Youth Congress President was prompt with their help and reached out to the 22 stranded workers with ration supplies.

In a tweet, he wrote, “@ABHIJIT_LS da, As per your request, We distributed ration supplies to 22 migrant workers from Murshidabad (W.B) who were stranded in Delhi due to lockdown. We are happy to help anytime-anywhere 🙂 Thank you.”

In a tweet, he wrote, “I extend my sincere thanks & good wishes to Shri @srinivasiyc & @vbwalia for extending timely help to D migrant workers of Murshidabad presently stranded in Delhi. You all are doing a fantastic work. . I simultaneously msgd the @CMODelhi by failed to get any response.

The nationwide lockdown is expected to be lifted on April 14 although there have been many speculations going on for extending it.
