According to the National Institutes of Health, you shouldn’t spend more than two hours a day on your phone.

The best way to measure Android phone usage time

The ‘Digital Wellbeing’ application is available on Android phones. It allows you to keep track of how much time you spend on each app.

You will also need to complete your profile in order for this to appear:

  • Go to the Settings app.
  • Select Digital well-being and parental controls.
  • Click on ‘More’, the three vertical dots, and select ‘Manage your data’
  • You can also add the widget to your device screen. It will show you the three applications that you use most often.
  • Hold the home screen for a few seconds.
  • Select ‘Widgets’ from the menu.
  • You will see the available apps when you long press the ‘Digital Wellbeing’ app.
  • Lift your finger and drag the widget to the home screen.
