The images and videos of the Adidas and Rich Mnisi Pride 2023 Collection advertising campaign went viral after receiving numerous criticisms for employing what appear to be biological males to model a women’s swimsuit. The Pride Swimsuit – Pink, according to Adidas, is made from recycled and renewable materials.
“We’re all unique, but we’re all connected by love,” read the caption on the social media post. “That is the message of this adidas swimsuit designed by Rich Mnisi. The exuberant print injects buoyant vitality into your beach day.”
This campaign has not been well received by some women, who have remarked that no woman would ever consider wearing these images and videos. There are also demands for a campaign boycott.
