Advisory for UGC-NET December 2018 examination

With University Grant Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2018 starting today (December 18), the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting authority, has released an important advisory for the candidates.

The important points mentioned in the advisory as follows:

The candidates appearing for the exam should download the admit card from NTA’s official website www.nta.ac.in.

Review information on admit card

After downloading the admit card, candidates should review the information on the admit card such as Reporting time at centre, Gate closing time of centre, Date of examination, Shift and timings of test and Venue of test.

Candidates should note that NTA will conduct UGC NET 2018 at various test centres across the nation in different shifts.

Candidates familiarise with the location and means of reaching at venue of the test on time.

Following items are prohibited inside the exam hall.

  1. Geometry/ Pencil box
  2. Handbag
  3. Purse
  4. Any kind of Paper
  5. Stationery
  6. Textual material
  7. Eatables and Water
  8. Mobile Phone
  9. Ear Phone
  10. Microphone/ Pager
  11. Calculator
  12. DocuPen
  13. Slide Rules
  14. Log Tables
  15. Camera
  16. Tape Recorder
  17. Electronic
  18. Watches with facilities of calculator
  19. any metallic item
  20. electronic gadgets/ devices

Mode of exam

Candidates should note that the examination will be computer based.

Candidates having proper admit card will be allowed to write the exam.
