AICTE releases revised academic calendar, first round of counselling up to August 15

As per the revised AICTE calendar, the first round of counselling/admission for allotment of seats must have been completed up to August 15, 2020.

NEW DELHI: All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has released the revised academic calendar for the year 2020-21 amid the Covid-19 pandemic. As per the revised AICTE calendar, the first round of counselling/admission for allotment of seats must have been completed up to August 15, 2020.

AICTE invited application for the interested candidates for grant of approval for the academic year 2020-2021 in February 2020.

The deadline for the online application process was February 28, 2020 for new institutions and March 5, 2020 for the existing institutions. However, the process of approval of the candidates could not be completed within the timeline provided as specified in the APH.

Considering the emergency and extraordinary circumstances in this particular case, the AICTE Executive Committee approved the following calendar for the approval activities of the 2020-21 school year at the 133rd emergency meeting held on April 27, 2020.

Commencement of classes

According to previous reports, classes for first-year students will begin on September 1, 2020, while classes for existing students will begin on August 1, 2020. The classes for PGDM / PGCM programme existing students will start on July 1, 2020.

The last date to cancel a PGDM / PGCM seat for a full refund is July 25, 2020. The final date for admission to the PGDM / PGCM course is July 31, 2020.
