Taking a jibe at the Kejriwal government, Congress leader Ajay Maken tweeted on Wednesday evening claiming that he has proof of the corrupt practices of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. He took to twitter to reveal that he has got the Shunglu Committee Report through RTI that examined 404 files of Kejriwal government.

Shangulu committee is a three-member committee formed by the then Lt Governor Najeeb Jung. This committee picked on the “gross abuse of power” by the Arvind Kejriwal government in its report. The committee has flagged decisions including the allotment of land to the AAP for its party office, the appointment of Minister Satyendra Jain’s daughter as “mission director” of Delhi State Health Mission and a number of purported AAP functionaries as “advisors”.

This report further says that the origin of the discrepancy lies in an order issued by Delhi CM on April 2015. It directed officers to take decisions without consulting the Lt Governor on all subjects that have been transferred to the Delhi Assembly under Article 239AA(3)and of the Indian Constitution.

In Maken’s second tweet, he mentioned that he received the report as a response to an RTI filed by him exposing the dark side of the Kejriwal government. The report reveals some decisions taken by Kejriwal and his Cabinet where he had no authority to do so, which includes the appointment of certain individuals as advisors to the government.

“In pursuance of the directions of the CM in April 2015, it became the practice among ministers not to obtain the approval of the LG and to provide approval at their level,” it said.

In the latest development, in this case, Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party president Manoj Tiwari on Thursday said “After exposure by the Shunglu Committee report, it is clear that Arvind Kejriwal has misused public money and government appointments for his political benefit,” Tiwari said in a statement.

Ajay Maken said that he will be releasing the report on Thursday at 12 Noon at AICC. In his press conference, he alleges Kejriwal of misusing government’s money citing the case of hiring India’s top lawyer Ram Jethmalani for fighting his own ‘legal battle’. In addition, he also alleged that Najeeb Jung, a retired Indian Administrative Service officer who served as the 20th Lieutenant Governor of Delhi from July 2013 to December 2016, was removed from his position because he was to investigate by being a part of the Shangulu committee against AAP government.
One of his chief accusations was the process of illegal land allotment (allotment for residential and office spaces). He said that Kejriwal, benefiting from a regular taxpayers money for himself and his party is the biggest charge of corruption against him
