Aligarh Muslim University arranges special trains for stranded students belonging to Bihar, Jharkhand and Assam

As per the final list provided by the DSW office, students will be sent back to their homes by a special train scheduled to depart at 10:30 PM on May 21, 2020, from Aligarh Railway Station.

AMU to pay teachers involved in conducting online exams starting August 5

Aligarh Muslim University issued a notice on May 20, 2020, in order to inform that varsity, has made the arrangement for the transportation of all the stranded students belonging to Bihar, Jharkhand and Assam.

As per the final list provided by the DSW office, students will be sent back to their homes by a special train scheduled to depart at 10:30 PM on May 21, 2020, from Aligarh Railway Station.

 

Earlier, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) releases a circular allowing inter-state movement of stranded students on April 30. In view of this, the university has advised its students to use this facility as no class, examinations, etc., are scheduled in May and June, so it must be ensured that all students reach safely to their hometowns in view of rising cases of COVID-19 in Aligarh district.

Earlier reports said that AMU has taken up the matter with the Uttar Pradesh government to facilitate the movement of students to their respective homes.
