Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express: In India, Vande Bharat Express’s presence is growing. The Chennai-Coimbatore route will soon have the newest addition to India’s fleet of semi-high-speed trains. On April 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the train on the new route from Chennai Station. With this addition, India will have a total of 12 Vande Bharat Express trains, with the second one going to South India. On November 11, 2022, Prime Minister Modi previously signalled the start of the Mysore-Chennai Vande Bharat Express.

The Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express has previously undergone test runs. In the testing, the train arrived at the designated location 22 minutes before the 11:40 a.m. stated arrival time. According to the officials, the train left the station in Chennai at 5:40 am and arrived in Coimbatore at 11:18 am. In other words, it took the train five hours and 38 minutes to travel the distance. In addition, the train successfully finished its return trip.

Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express Duration and route:

The Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express train will cover the 495.28 km between Chennai and Coimbatore in 6 hours and 10 minutes, making stops in Tiruppur, Erode, and Salem. The train will run six days a week like previous trains.

The train is expected to depart Coimbatore at six in the morning and arrive at Chennai Central at around twelve ten, according to the most recent reports. The Vande Bharat train is scheduled to depart Chennai Central at 2.20 pm and arrive in Coimbatore at 8.30 pm on the return journey.

Eight coaches, one of which is an executive coach, total 530 seats on the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express. Additionally, the train will be equipped with cutting-edge technology like wifi access, sliding doors, reclining seats, and more to benefit the passengers.

A total of 11 routes in India are currently served by the Vande Bharat Express, including Bhopal-New Delhi, Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Capital, Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi, Mumbai-Solapur, New Delhi-Varanasi, New Delhi-Shri Vaishno Devi Mata Katra, Amb Andaura-New Delhi, and Mysuru-Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. MGR Howrah – New Jalpaiguri, Nagpur – Bilaspur, Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam, and Chennai Central.

Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express: Timings and ticket costs

The train is scheduled to leave Coimbatore at six in the morning and arrive at Chennai Central around twelve ten. The train is scheduled to depart from Chennai Central at 2.20 pm and arrive in Coimbatore at 8.30 pm when it is returning.

Indian Railways has not yet set a pricing for the tickets on the Vande Bharat Express between Chennai and Coimbatore.
