National Students Union of India (NSUI) have won the Vice-President and Cultural Secretary posts after fifteen long years and Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha (SCS) won the President and Joint Secretary posts in Allahabad University Students Union Election(AUSU) 2018.

Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad managed to win only General Secretary post.

Uday Prakash Yadav of SCS won the president seat with 3698 votes, Vice-President Akhilesh Yadav from NSUI got 2157 votes, General Secretary Shivam Singh of ABVP got 2823 votes, Joint Secretary Satyam Singh Saini from SCS got 3199 votes, and Cultural Secretary from NSUI Aditya Singh secured his victory with 1832 votes.

AUSU results are important for NSUI because it ended their wait of 15 years at the highest political and vibrant centre of politics among the college students in the heart of Uttar Pradesh.

This win will help in activating the young voters ahead of upcoming polls as the parent organisation of NSUI and SCS, Congress and Samajwadi Party will have the support of these students’ leaders.
