Three students were beaten and arrested late Friday for showing black flags to BJP National President Amit Shah, during his visit to Allahabad.

Protesters including two girl students and one boy raised blacks flags and slogans in front of BJP leader Amit Shah’s cavalcade. As per the reports, ‘unemployment’ was the reason behind the trio holding protest against Amit Shah.

The three were beaten up by the security forces deployed during Shah’s visit and detained immediately. However, all three students were released afterwards.

BJP chief Amit Shah had reached Allahabad to connect with Hindu seers on Friday and sought their blessings for the general elections and the Kumbh Mela. Shah’s visit included temple visits, religious functions and meetings with seers. He held a closed-door meeting at Baghambari Mutt with Mahants of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP). Not only did he collect their feedback on the preparations for the Kumbh Mela scheduled for January 2019, Shah also discussed strategy for the big battle of 2019.
