This May, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja will celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary. Last year, we saw much high profile Bollywood weddings, Sonam and Anand were one of them. Their wedding was one grand affair and was graced by almost every Bollywood celeb. The two love birds tied the knot on May 8 and ever since rumors of Sonam being pregnant have been doing the rounds on and off in the industry. Sonam recently attended an event with her husband and entrepreneur Anand Ahuja and the lovebirds were too cute to watch.
Sonam looked ravishing in a mustard-colored ankle-length dress and completed her look with a ponytail and red and mustard sneakers. She and hubby Anand wore Unisex footwear and we loved how they twinned. But more than the twinning with the sneakers, what caught everyone’s attention was how Anand pampered his wifey and took great care to make sure she was happy. During the event, there was a point when Anand did not hesitate to even go down on his knees to tie Sonam’s shoelaces.
However, the pics gave air to the rumor that Sonam was pregnant. While it does look like that in the first go, we must give Anand the benefit of doubt that he was just being a loving husband. In fact, Sonam had earlier addressed her pregnancy rumors in an interview with the Firstpost and revealed, ”Anand and I had a very long conversation you know, and we obviously want to have kids eventually.”
On the work front, Sonam was last seen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga which released in February. It was a coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama which earned heaps of praises both from critics as well as audiences. The story was inspired by P. G. Wodehouse’s 1919 novel A Damsel In Distress. The movie saw Sonam sharing screen space with her father, Anil Kapoor for the first time. Apart from the father-daughter duo, it starred Rajkummar Rao, Juhi Chawla, Seema Pahwa, Brijendra Kala, Alka Kaushal, Akshay Oberoi, and Regina Cassandra.
Next up, Sonam Kapoor will be seen in The Zoya Factor. The movie is based on Anuja Chauhan’s novel of the same name. It stars Dulquer Salmaan alongside Sonam Kapoor. The film will be helmed by Abhishek Sharma.
