Roger Federer once again produced master class to dismantle Milos Raonic and enter 2017 Wimbledon semifinals. It is only when tennis witnessed few of its fine players collapsing in the field, Roger Federer marched serenely on. He is the last among the big still standing.

Swiss maestro Federer eased to a 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 (7/4) win over Milos Raonic to become the second oldest Wimbledon semi-finalist of the Open era. 35- year old Federer made short work of beating last year’s runner-up with a trademark display on Centre Court as he won in his 100th singles match at Wimbledon.

Skilled Federer only looked in danger of being broken once, saving four break points in the eighth game of the third set as he reached his 42nd Grand Slam semi-final – extending his own record – in a dominant display. He will now play Tomas Berdych in Friday’s semi-final match.

Federer played his 100th match at the All England Club on Wednesday and is the second oldest man to reach the semi-finals after Ken Rosewall.  He said in an interview, “100 matches, I can’t believe it, that’s a lot. I’m very happy my body kept me going over all these years. I’m very pleased with how I’m playing.”

With Andy Muray and Rafael Nadal also out from the race, Federer is a huge favorite to take the title
